Nigerian FIFA Woman Referee Patience Ndidi Madu has been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the second leg fixture of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier (WWCQ) between Ghana’s Black Princesses and Ugandan U-20 Women national team, the Young Crested Cranes of Uganda on Saturday, 5th February 2022.
The 33-year old FIFA referee will be the centre of affairs when Ghana’s U-20 female national team, the Black Princesses hosts their fellow Ugandans at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Saturday afternoon. The experienced referee, Patience Ndidi will be assisted by her fellow countrywomen referees Mimisen Agatha Iyorhe (Assistant I), Beauty Kabeda Terah (Assistant II) along with Hannah Elaigwe as the Fourth Referee.
Cameroonian official Souadatou Djallo-Kalkaba will serve as the Match Commissioner while Senegalese Fadouma Dia Dia works as Referees Assessor.
The centre referee Patience Ndidi Madu represented Africa at the Summer Olympic Games held in Tokyo, Japan between July and August 2021. She is one of Africa’s renowned female referees, and her experience is expected to come to the party as she steers the affairs of the third-round qualifier second leg on Saturday. She handled the Ghana Black Maidens (U-17 women team) versus Liberia match in March 2020.
Ghana goes into the second leg on Saturday with an aggregate advantage of a 2-1 scoreline after securing a 2-1 victory over their opponents in the first leg played in Uganda. The second leg has been scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm.
