Former president of the Ghana Football Association, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has predicted doom for Kurt Okraku’s administration based on how things are going.
The Association has been accused of influencing player selection for the national team coaches with a lot of issues on appointment of national team managers.
The current GFA led by Kurt Okraku penned a bad record following the Black Star’s worse ever performance during the just ended AFCON in Cameroon.
The Ghana Football Association on Wednesday evening appointed new gaffers for the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars of Ghana. Borussia Dortmund’s deputy manager Otto Addo was named as the coach and ex-Brighton boss Chris Hughton was also named as the Technical Advisor to the newly constituted Black Stars Technical Team ahead of World Cup qualifiers play-offs double-header against Nigeria in March.
The former GFA gaffer insists there will be a disaster in Ghana football soon.
“Chris Hughton is a coach and later he’s turned to an advisor, now this gentleman can advise Otto Addo and he can refuse to accept his advice or take it.
Now, let me tell you that a similar thing happened when I was at the FA and I think Kwasi can bare me out. Barretto left us on unceremoniously and what happened was that we happened to quickly organize and get a new coach in the person of Ade. May he rest in peace. Ade told me in my office that he can only hold the position for one match, by then we were having a match against Congo or a country I can’t remember now.
“I remember after the match Ade left then we quickly put in place. These are some of the credits I give to Kwasi Nyantakyi. Now, he quickly advised me and we advertised for the position of FA coach. Finally, we fell on Dujkovic, and thank God he was the first-ever coach to qualify Ghana for the World Cup so it depends a lot on the team and it depends a lot on the person in the seat.
“The way I see things going now, am afraid that there will be a disaster very soon. Mark my words, that’s all.”
Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe gallantly revealed during an interview on GTV Sports+ last night.
