Hearts Of Oak faced a tough challenge on Sunday as they host their sworn rivals Asante Kotoko, the leaders of the GPL league table.
There were no goals at the Accra Sports Stadium, but the woodwork was hit once for Hearts. Both Atta and Danlad were superb in their position to keep their side in the game.
Kofi Kordzi who has scored seven goals in 14 games this season for the Rainbows was benched for the Super Clash but he came in the second half for Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who took the team on his shoulders to give the Phobians a goal victory in the last edition of the Super Clash against Kotoko.
After the game ended in a 0-0 stalemate, Coach Samuel Boadu revealed that Kofi Kordzi is being benched based on his training.
Boadu insists those making it into his starting lineup are ahead of Kordzi.
“It depends on the training not that he scores a goal in a match every day, that doesn’t mean I should put him in. What we rehearse at the training will give you the chance.
“I see it like those starting are ahead of him.” Boadu stated.
