Esther Okoronkwo’s 87th minute strike helped the Super Falcons of Nigeria to see-off the Female senior national soccer team of La Côte d’Ivoire in the last qualifier game staged in Abidjan for the upcoming 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons have sealed a place in the final tournament after beating the Ivorians back to back with 3-0 aggregate scoreline.
The Nigeria side won the first leg 2-0 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium courtesy of brace from Ifeoma Onumonu.
The 12th edition of the Africa Women Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco from 2nd July to 23rd July this year.
Nigeria also thrashed Ghana in the early stages of the qualifications with the same aggregate scoreline to progress.
Apart from being the most successful team in the competition, Super Falcons is also the defending champion having emerged winner in the last edition.
