Kumasi King Faisal managed to secure a 2-1 triumph over WAFA on matchday 18 of the Ghana Premier League at the Red Bull Arena, Sogakope.
Despite an entertaining football, they ended the first half in a stalemate.
The visitors were the first to register a goal through an opportunity which was brilliantly converted by Osman Ibrahim with an assist from Mawuli Wayo on the 4th minute after the recess.
After conceding the first goal the home side improved their performance as they piled pressure on King Faisal in search for the equalizer. Konadu Yiadom scored to restore the parity at the 65th minute.
The visitors never got disappointed, fought hard to seal the victory.
They regrouped and restored their lead courtesy Mawuli Wayo at the 88th minute, finishing home from a cross from Zubairu Ibrahim.
After King Faisal goal, the home side tried to settle but the Alhaji Grusah’s boys had total control of the game to maintain the lead.
King Faisal have jumped to the 3rd position with 29 points. WAFA remains at the 16 position in the relegation zone with just 18 points after week 18 of the Ghana Premier League.
