The head coach for Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum insisted that his side lost the balance in terms of their structure and shape at the back before he made some tactical changes to regain form to gather late goals.
The highly-rated tactician snatched a second half victory following Etouga’s brace against Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
In the matchday 18 encounter of the ongoing season, the Porcupines took the lead at the 72nd minute and increased the tally during the 82nd minute with all the goals coming from Franck Etouga Mbella.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Coach Ogum explaind why his side lost the balance in the game whiles Dreams FC were having some great openings at the back but he made some few changes to gain the form back before snatching the home victory.
“I think we lost the balance in defense in terms of our structure and shape at the back and we gave them a lot of 1v1 situations, created a lot of spaces for them which we didn’t cover so as a technically good side like Dreams you expect them to use those spaces so that was why around those times we were caught but then I think later with Sherrif going there it brought some stability and we were able to keep to our shape.” Ogum explained.
Asante Kotoko still leads the league log with 40 points after 18 matches in the Ghana Premier League.
