After 0-0 stalemate against Hearts of Oak in Accra, the Porcupine Warriors bounced back to add three more points to their tally on the league table after beating Dreams FC at home.
The second half brace from Frank Etouga Mbella handed Kotoko 2-0 win over Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in week 18 of the GPL.
The triumph has extended Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s lead to 40points on the league log meanwhile Dreams are on the 10th position with 23 points.
After goaless stalemate in the first half the Porcupines came back strongly to take lead in the second half with a penalty converted by Cameroonian striker Frank Etouga Mbella at the 71st minute after he was pushed down in the box of the away side following a through pass from Lamptey.
On the 82nd minute, Etouga had brace to seal the maximum points for the league leaders.
Asante Kotoko with the home victory has maintained their lead on the table.
Dreams FC went into the game without Black Stars skipper, Fatawu Issahaku who made his first appearance in the GPL with a goal when they lost 3-1 to the Porcupines in the season opener in Accra.
