Great Olympics have begun the second round of the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season on a high after posting a delightful 2-1 win over RTU on Monday.
Today at the Accra Sports Stadium, Great Olympics hosted the GPL returnees in a matchday 18 encounter of the league.
While both teams fought to amass the maximum points, it is the home team that triumphed at the end of the 90 minutes with a last-minute strike from Sulley Ibrahim.
On the matchday, goals from George Asamoah and Sulley Ibrahim in the 4th and 90+3 minute respectively handed Great Olympics the home victory while Rolland Frimpong grabbed the consolation for the visitors at the 85th minute.
Today’s result sees Great Olympics climbing to the second position with 31 points while RTU sits in thirteenth with 20 points.
