Ex-captain of Accra Hearts of Oak Thomas Abbey has joined his former club, Soccer Intellectuals based in the Central Region of Ghana.
Abbey signed year a deal with the Division one League till the end of the ongoing season.
According to the research of ghanasportspage.com, Abbey joined his boyhood club in aid of helping them to qualify for the Ghana Premier League.
The 28-years midfielder played for Soccer Intellectuals between the years of 2000 to 2005 before signing a contract with Windy Professionals.
Thomas Abbey was snatched by Accra Hearts following an impressive performance at Windy Professionals during the 2010/2011 season and left the GPL side after six years in 2018 to Egyptian giants, Ismaily on a two-year deal.
His contract with the North African side was terminated on 1 August 2018 after reaching a mutual agreement and moved to join Malaysia Super League club PKNP FC in January 2019 but is currently a free agent following the expiration of his contract with the Asian side.
The veteran midfielder was among the Ghana Black Stars Team B squad who lifted the 2017 WAFU Nations Cup in Ghana.
