Veteran Ghanaian football manager, Coach J.E Sarpong insists Otto Addo should have resigned from his post as Black Stars head coach a long time due to the delay of the squad list for the Nigeria clash.
J.E Sarpong, the former Asante Kotoko gaffer believes there might be an interference in the selection of the squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifier play-offs between the Black Stars and the Super Eagles.
Ghana’s opponent, Nigeria has already named their squad for the game two weeks ago but the GFA and Otto Addo are yet to publish the Black Stars players who are ready to participate.
Commenting on the ongoing saga on Atinka FM’s Total Sports with King Akuffo on Tuesday afternoon, the legendary coach stated, “I would have resigned if I were to be Otto Addo. He divulged.
“If I were him, I would have resigned just because I am having a job in Europe.
“I am saying this because of how the FA is not helping him. They will point out the coach if the team fails to perform. You won’t mention the name of the GFA boss, the minister, or anybody. The name of the coach will be mentioned.” He ended.
On March 25, Ghana will host the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports in the first leg following the rejection of the Cape Coast Sports Stadium by FIFA before the second leg comes off in Abuja at the Monshood Abiola Stadium.
