Report on our desk from a reliable source has disclosed that South African-based Ghanaian goalkeeper, Richard Ofori has touched down in Ghana for the double header against Nigeria in the World Cup qualifier play-offs.
The Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was ruled out for some months, having missed the recent AFCON due to injury.
The veteran shot stopper got injured in September 2021 during a world cup qualifier between his nation and South Africa which ended in a defeat to Ghana during the first leg.
His absence brought in Swindon Town goalkeeper, Joojo Wollacott who manned Ghana’s abysmal performance at the recent AFCON in Cameroon.
Ofori is expected to snatch his position back in the upcoming crucial encounter.
