At long last, the much awaited anticipated game between Ghana and Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will come on today at exactly, 19:30GMT.
Arsenal skipper, Thomas Partey will be in charge of Black Stars captaincy position to lead the team for the make-or-break fixture against the Super Eagles of Nigeria due to Andre Ayew’s absence from the team following the red card he received during Ghana’s last group game against Comoros at the AFCON.
Partey believes the team is capable of securing a ticket for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar.
Ahead of the game, the veteran midfielder has expressed his determination to unleash Ghana’s anger in the crucial double header against the 2013 AFCON champions on Friday and Tuesday.
Asked what Ghanaians should expect from the team, Partey answered; “We all know what we have, we have lots of great talents, young players coming now and I know Ghana will demand a lot form us going out tomorrow. We are going to give our best. We believe in each other, I believe in the team, I believe in the coach and the system we want play. I think we are ready for them.” He stated in a pre-match press conference.
With the exception of ex-Swansea star, Andre Ayew and Edmund Addo of Sherrif Tiraspol, Partey is expected to match on the the entire Black Stars team to snatch a great victory for Ghana to relaunch the love and passion of Ghanaians.
