After leaving the shores of Africa for Europe as a teenager, Felix Ohene Afena-Gyan is having a remarkable performance with the Italian Serie A side, AS Roma under Coach Jose Mourinho.
The 19-year old attacker made his first appearance for the Black Stars of Ghana in their Work Cup qualifier play-offs tie against Nigeria in Kumasi.
After the game, the interim boss of the Black Stars, Coach Otto Addo has praised the youngster for being a threat to the Super Eagles and his confidence level.
Gyan was later replaced by St. Pauli star Daniel Kofi-Kyereh on the 81st minute of the throttle but Otto believes the teenager did well in terms of creating chances in the game.
“Felix did very well, created a lot of chances, made good runs, gave his all in defensive situations, he did exactly what I wanted him to do. He is just 19, wow, what a talent he is,” Coach Addo stated.
Gyan nearly had an assist to separate the two sides if goalkeeper Uzoho had not kept out Issahaku’s powerful strike.
