Black Stars medical Team has disclosed to Ghanasportspage.com that AS Roma youngster, Felix Ohene Afena-Gyan is free to play in the next game against Nigeria.
The 19-year old picked up a knock while he was making his debut performance for the Black Stars of Ghana against Nigeria in the first leg of the World Cup qualifier play-offs.
There was a fear that the enterprising attacker could not be featured in the second leg due to injury but he has been declared free to play. Gyan went down during the 81st minute and it looked like he was cramped in both legs.
The 19-year-old walked off the field and handed a chance to Daniel Kofi-Kyereh to play in the last nine minutes plus the additional time.
The medical team doctors have confirmed that there’s no injury at the camp and all players are fit and ready to battle the Super Eagles in Abuja.
“None of the players is injured for now. For Afena-Gyan, it was just a cramp and just an emergency. Is just a cramp. All the players are okay for the return leg.” He told Ghanasportspage.com
The return leg will be held on Tuesday at the Monshood Abiola Sports Stadium.
Ghana and Nigeria drew 0-0 in the first leg in Kumasi.
