Deputy Minister of Transport holds 4th edition of Upper West Akim Easter Gala

Adom Easter Gala is an annual football competition organized by Deputy Minister of Transport, Honourable Frederick Obeng Adom who double as MP for Upper West Akim District.

The fourth edition of the competition will kick off on 2nd April, 2022.

The tournament is under the major sponsorship and support of Hon. Adom who was elected as MP in 2020 and he is the first ever NPP candidate to snatch the seat from NDC after 28-years.

The previous event has disclosed much display of skills and passion for football in the district.

More than 15 teams including defending champions, Asuokaw Young Bayern(Asuokaw), United Academy (Sukrong Bethlehem), Okusu United (Adeiso), Vatens SA(Mepom), Okuraseman Football Club(Okurase) Kwaobaah Football Club (Kwaobaah) and other strong teams will participate for the ultimate.

Only the teams within the district are eligible to take part of the game.

Cash prize of 10,000cedis and trophy will be awarded to the winner of the competition, 5,000cedis for runners-up and 3,000cedis for the team that will finish third while set of jerseys and balls will be given to each team for participation.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, April to and Monday, April 18th, 2022.

The preliminary stage will be played at some selected venues. The winners from prelims will advance to the knockout stage.

The quarter-finals, semi-final and the final will be staged at the Adeiso Methodist Park.
