The Ghana Black Stars contingent comprising 26 players, members of the technical team and GFA Officials have departed Ghana for Abuja where they will engage Nigeria in the second leg of their crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup play-off on Tuesday.
The Ghana contingent left the shores of Ghana via a straight flight from the Kumasi Airport on Monday, and are expected to last for 2 and half hours of flight at most to land in Abuja for the game on Tuesday evening.
From the team’s hotel base in Kumasi, they drove to the Kumasi Airport where they boarded their flight a few minutes ago at the time of filing this report, and will fly straight to Abuja without having to make a stop or any transit at the Kotoka International Airport in the the country’s capital, Accra.
Ghana will take on Nigeria in the return leg after the first leg produced no goals at the Baba Yara sports stadium last Friday.
Ghana will have to score and avoid defeat against Nigeria to be able to secure the ticket to the World Cup finals in Qatar which commences in November this year.
Th return leg fixture will kick off at 17:00Hrs GMT.
