The Black Stars of Ghana have been paired with Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in Group H of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The final draw was held in Doha, Qatar on Friday, 1st April, 2022.
Ghana will participate for the fourth time at the World Cup after 2006, 2010 and 2014. The team advanced from the play-offs after beating Nigeria in Abuja with away goal rule.
This wil be the second time Ghana will be playing against Portugal and Uruguay.
The 32 qualified teams, allocated in four pots based on their current FIFA ranking, were drawn into eight groups of four teams each. Hosts Qatar were automatically the top seed in Group A despite being the lowest-ranked team. Each group contains a maximum of two teams.
Ghana was placed in top four of the pot alongside their African counterparts, Cameroon.
After playing each team in their group, the top two teams will advance to the knockout stage.
