Berekum Chelsea recorded a win in a week 21 outstanding fixture of the Ghana Premier League on Thursday afternoon after beating King Faisal.
Chelsea earned a vital 1-0 win at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to bounce back on a winning ways after suffering 3-2 defeat to RTU in their previous fixture.
The Bibires defeated King Faisal in the first leg of the season by a goal to nil in November last year to record their first win of this season’s campaign.
The visitors took the lead during the 5th minute in the first half of the game.
King Faisal were trying to make some miracles to split points but they were struggling and nothing was working for them.
Coach Amadu made four changes to the team that started their last game. Adams Abdul Jabal started in goal, Pius Baffour and Ibrahim Osman returned to the starting XI whiles Adu Boahen handed his first league start.
The visitors secured the vital win through Osei Owusu’s strike.
With 33 points, Chelsea is sitting at the seventh position. King Faisal who were title contenders during the first round of the season have slipped to the eleventh position with 29 points.
They are yet to pick a win after five games. They were defeated by Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their last fixture.
