According to Ghanasportspage.com, there will be Electronic Tickets (e-Tickets) for the upcoming Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak third Super Clash of the year.
The Porcupines will host the Rainbows in the second leg leg of the Ghana Premier League in Week 24 at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium following last month’s President’s Cup.
According to Nana Kwame Dankwah, NCC Chairman for the league leaders, there will be sales of e-ticketing for Sunday’s encounter which is scheduled for 6:00PM.
Speaking on Accra-based Original FM, Mr. Dankwah revealed, “It’s confirmed there will be sales of E- ticketing for Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of oak game on Sunday”
“It’s directives from government and we should accept that though it’s new in the system but fans should purchase the e- ticketing for the stadium to be full on Sunday and surely KOTOKO Will surely win.”
The National Sports Authority introduced the e-ticketing system for the first time in Ghana during the FIFA World Cup qualifier game between Ghana on the 25th March at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The NSA in a letter wishes the Ghana Football Association(GFA), various Sporting Federations/Association League Clubs that henceforth all match-day tickets shall be digitized and sold as e-tickets online.
The NSA is aiming to make it easier and convenient for football fans to purchase match tickets online and have quick access to numerous venues around the country.
For the first time, the NSA sold over 20,000 tickets within 48 hours of its opening for Ghana-Nigeria first leg, setting a new record for e-ticketing. The tickets were eventually sold out about 8 hours before the game.
