After spending almost 12-years of his playing career outside Ghana, Samuel Inkoom who’s desire was to join the Porcupines before he retires signed one and half year deal with Accra Hearts of Oak.
The former U-20 World Cup winner played his debut game for the Rainbows against his former club on Sunday’s week 24 Super Clash at the Baba Yara Sports in Kumasi.
Inkoom came off the bench with the jersey number 52 during the 63rd minute for Gladson Awako to help his new club but he tasted a defeat in his debut performance.
The 32-year old defender left Kumasi Asante Kotoko to Basel in Europe after winning the U-20 World Cup for Ghana in 2009.
Having returned to his native country, Inkoom was reportedly on the verge of joining his mother club but the move was cancelled.
The ex-Black Stars player did not strip off his desire to play in the GPL but kept his faith to follow the footsteps of Sulley Muntari and started training with the reigning champions of the GPL before he was signed on Friday, 8th April, 2022.
They lost by a goal to nil to the league leaders, Asante Kotoko.
