Hearts of Oak head coach, Samuel Boadu has called for beauty and fair play in the ongoing Ghana Premier League after a defeat to Kotoko.
The reigning champions of the GPL conceded a 1-0 defeat to the Porcupine Warriors at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a week 24 Super Clash of the Ghanaian top-flight.
Kotoko won the game through a controversial penalty converted by Cameroonian goal producer, Frank Etouga Mbella in the 17th minute.
The gaffer lamented over the decision and officiating from referee Kennedy Paddy.
In an interview with StarTimes, Samuel Boadu cried out for the beauty of the game and fair play.
“Per what I saw, if not then I don’t know. We want the beauty of Ghana football. I don’t have any problem if I concede defeat in your home but we should make sure that good football will flow so that all Ghanaians will be happy.”
Speaking about the penalty decision, he emphasized;
“Unless I watch playback before I can say something about it but such a big game with such decisions makes things difficult.
“Let’s play a fair game, good football, and let’s see. Those who came witnessed the performance from Hearts. It shows.”
