Premier league side Aduana Stars have booked qualification to the semi finals of the ongoing MTN FA Cup competition after beating King Faisal in the quarter final clash at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park at Dormaa on Wednesday.
A goal each from Abdul Manaf Mudasiru, Emmanuel Gyamfi and a spot kick from Sam Adams powered the ‘Ogya’ lads to a 3-2 victory over premier league fellows King Faisal. Two goals from King Faisal stars Zubairu and Osman were not enough to push the game into a penalty shootouts as the Dormaa based club booked their place in the semis.
At the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, Bechem United secured a comfortable 4-2 victory over lower tier side Tamale City FC to join Aduana Stars in the semi finals. Former Asante Kotoko player Augustine Okrah scored twice before missing a penalty for Bechem United to deny himself of a hat-trick. Hafiz Konkoni and Latif Anabila were the other two scorers for the Hunters to seal the commanding 4-2 victory.
Elsewhere at Dawu, Dreams FC scraped past Kotoku Royals with a 2-1 win, thanks to a late goal from Adamu Amadu to secure the win after Agyenim Boateng’s opener had been canceled by the visitors.
