The reigning champions of the GPL, Hearts of Oak is set to lose their veteran right-back Larry Ibrahim Sumaila.
The defender is hoping to leave the club this summer after the ongoing season after struggling to get an enough playing time.
Sumaila’s current contract runs out on 31st May, 2022 and he is set to sign a deal with a new club.
According to sources close to his camp, two Ghana Premier Leagues clubs with one North African club have shown interest in signing him for the upcoming 2022/2023 season.
The young defender has previously had stints with Greek giants PAOK before joining the Ghanaian side in 2019.
The then 22-year-old who can play anywhere across the back four was expected to give ex-coach Kim Grant an option in all the various defensive positions for the 2019/2020 but the gaffer was sacked after losing their season opener to Berekum Chelsea followed by the team’s failure to win the President’s Cup after losing 2-1 to Asante Kotoko.
