Akyem Kotoku Royals exceeded with a 1-0 victory over Liberty Professionals on Sunday afternoon in the ongoing Division One League.
The home side, Kotoku Royals were able to grab the essential win from the tough competition through Dzikoe Richard’s early goal.
Dzikoe known as Oda Vinicius fired the Royals into a lead just after the first five minutes of matchday 22 battle against Liberty at the Oda Sports Stadium.
The former GPL side mounted pressure in search for a point but their effort wasn’t enough to restore parity.
Kotoku Royals are seeking to turn things around to succeed the three former GPL sides, Hearts of Lions, Liberty and Tema Youth on the league log to play in the GPL.
They are on the fourth position with 42 points but 3 points away from the top spot of the league table in Zone 3.
