Dreams FC technical director and Ghana U-20 boss, Coach Abdul Karim Zito has confirmed to Ghanasportspage.com the new manager to take in charge of the Dawu-based GPL side till the end of the season.
The Dawu-based club had no choice but to fall on Karim Zito earlier in the season as the head coach following the suspension of the head coach Vladislav Vivic.
The Serbian was given a 4 match ban and fined GH5000 following a physical assault on Berekum Chelsea coach Abdul Hanan Abu after a match at Dawu.
The Kotoko legend has led the team till now but yet to hand over to a new manager because of his time with the Ghana U-20 national team ahead of the upcoming WAFU Zone B tournament in Niger.
The former champions league winner mentioned the name of ex-Eleven Wonders gaffer, Ignatius Osei-Fosu as the incoming coach of the club following his departure.
He described the up and coming coach, Osei-Fosu as one of the coaches who is very learned, very strict and always serious about the job.
“Well am trying to bring another coach to take over from me because am the technical director of Dreams FC so when we parted ways with our coach I had to go in and then take over. And it was between myself and the national team and now that the time is closer, definitely I have to leave one and take one so am preparing to leave Dreams and then take the national team.” He disclosed.
We heard that Coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu is already there. Is it true? “He is on the way but not yet.”
Do you prefer him than any other coach? “Yes because he is one of the up and coming coaches who is very learned, very strict. Honestly, he is always serious with the work and people like this you should have because he can groom the young ones for…. You know with Dreams FC we groom these boys, talents and then we sell them out.
“If you don’t have the youth developmental knowledge you can’t work with my club because all along, this is our target. Develop this young ones, let them go to Europe and also have their lives there so as I talk to you I have specialized on youth development myself and so if am going for any other coach, that person should know about youth development. That is one of our basics of coaching in our club, Dreams FC.” – He confirmed during an interview with the CEO of Ghanasportspage.com on Wednesday.
The outspoken football manager, Osei-Fosu’s contract expired at the end of the 2020/21 season with Eleven Wonders after supervising them to escape relegation in a difficult campaign.
He later joined Medeama SC earlier this season but he was sacked after he had failed to record a win in the first three games of the Ghana Premier League as coach of the Yellow and Mauve side.
He is yet to be named as a new gaffer to lead Dreams FC till the end of the season as revealed.
