Impressive Augustine Okrah scored his thirteenth goal of the season to hand Bechem United a point in their 1-1 draw with Karela United.
Okrah started for the Hunters as they aimed to shorten Kotoko’s points on the top of the table with victory but they were held to a draw at their own backyard.
After they had finished the first half in a goalless draw, Umar Bashiru returned to seal the lead four minutes into the second half for the Anyinase-based Karela United.
The visitors dream to torment the Hunters into a goal defeat was halted through a strike from Augustine Okrah who scored to restore parity at the 79th minute.
The ex-Asante Kotoko player has scored 13 goals in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, guiding his team to keep on their light of hope as title contenders.
Bechem United are still second on the league log with 55 points after week 26, whiles Karela United are sitting on the eighth position with 45 points.
