Tonfack Essofack, agent of Asante Kotoko forward Georges Mfegue has angrily fired a strong warning to the player’s former club, Alvion Football Club for dragging Kotoko to FIFA whiles he is yet to receive his commission from the team.
News from the Cameroonian top-flight side has claimed that officials of the Avion Football Club of Douala have planned to drag Kumasi Asante Kotoko to FIFA next month for failing to meet their obligations about the recruitment of Mfegue Georges Omgba.
According to officials of the Douala club, the Ghanaian champions in waiting have failed to pay their remaining €15000 transfer fee agreed before the player’s move to Ghana.
Mr. Tonfack Essofack, the player’s agent has also geared up to report Mfegue’s former club to the Cameroonian FA and the world’s football governing body after denying him his percentage.
The transfers involved the agent where there was an agreement to receive twenty percent of the first payment from the Alvion Football Club paid by the Porcupines.
The founder of the company symbolizing the Cameroonian player, Africa Management Football has set his eyes on Alvion Football Club to receive his commission of the first payment but he has not been content with how Alvion Football Club replied to him.
Speaking to Ghanasportspage.com on Monday morning, Mr. Tonfack review the transfer details and warned the Cameroonian top-flight, “I am the agent of Mfegue. After the president of Alvion Football Club received the first part of the money, he was supposed to pay me twenty percent commission but he said he doesn’t know me.
“I gave the player to Kotoko although he was a player of Alvion. I have the documents of the player concerning the contract. I met both clubs before the deal.
“I don’t have any problem with Kotoko but Alvion.
“They’ve contacted me to take the remaining money from Kotoko but I said I can’t do anything because they said they don’t know me.
“They can’t drag Asante Kotoko to FIFA without giving me my commission.
“They were supposed to give me my first commission after the deal.
“I was in Germany but I sent Amadu (a member of my management).
Kotoko paid the first part of the money after the deal.
“The second part was supposed to be paid the last month but according to FIFA, it should be three months before they can hold them responsible.
“They should be serious but not on this way.
“Kotoko doesn’t have any problem with me.
“I should have reported Alvion for breaching the agreement they had with me.
“They don’t have any right to spoil the name Kotoko or drag the club to FIFA. I will also drag them to FIFA if they do so to Kotoko.
“Kotoko is a big club, they can’t demolish their image.”
Mfegue and his countryman, Etouga Mbella(the leading top-scorer of the league) are having a remarkable and scintillating performance after joining the club earlier this season.
They have contributed the majority of the goals for Kotoko, as they lead the league with 52 points.
