Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Berekum Arsenal forward, Francis Aggrey Mboma has passed away following a short illness in Sunyani after he was rushed to the Seventh Day Adventist hospital.
The former goal producer was confirmed dead on Thursday, April 28th.
Francis Aggrey affectionately known as Mboma once led Berekum Arsenal to achieve many awards before making a move to the GPL record winner, Asante Kotoko.
He recently tied the knot with his dear wife but could not return from the hospital to live with the family although, the nurses and doctors tried their best to help Mboma survive.
He made a move to join Kotoko in 2003 after an impressive performance with Arsenal. He was snatched to play alongside the likes of Nana Arhin-Duah, Shilla Alhassan and Michael Osei in the attacking role whiles the club was aiming to end their trophy drought in nine years.
