Coach Kassim Mingle has delivered his verdict on the Ghana Premier League title race against the league leader Asante Kotoko.
Coach Kassim believes his side is playing ‘well’ at the moment and has refused to leave the Porcupines to win the league title.
The Hunters have enjoyed a successful season and they are hopeful that anything could happen with seven games remaining.
Sitting at the second position with 46 points, Bechem United is now only nine points behind the Reds.
Coach Kassim was asked about the plans and strategies for the title race against Kotoko and had this to say; “We all have 21 points to chase in 7 games. The league leaders have 21 points to chase, we also have 21 points to chase so is football. Anything can happen. About two matches to go no one can predict the winner of the league Kotoko has the advantage of winning but as of now nobody can predict. Anything can happen. They can say whatever they want because they are in a pool position to win but for that one, we have to face fast. The points they’ve accumulated and the difference between us definitely if we are leading the table our fans will also say we are winning the league. In football, you cannot predict.” He told Ghanasportspage.com.
“Nobody knew Kotoko will lose two matches continuously like that. That’s how football is and that’s why I said you cannot predict.
“When the opportunity comes for us to win we will grab it.” He ended.
Next up for the Hunters is to take on Hearts of Oak on week 28 decisive clash between second and third-place teams. They drew a 0-0 in Accra during the first leg.
