Snubbing Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, Bechem United manager Kassim Mingle has named Great Olympics as the toughest opponent his side has played against this season in the Ghana Premier League.
The Hunters were able to snatch four points from the Accra-based GPL side, having drawn goalless in the first leg before they claimed a goal victory at Bechem this season.
Despite picking up a win, Kassim Mingle insists Annor Walker’s side formed a formidable opposition in the second leg against them unlike another fixtures.
When speaking to Ghanasportspage.com on Thursday, Coach Kassim made a bold claim about Olympics instead of naming one of the traditional clubs Hearts of Oak or Kotoko.
“My toughest opponent we’ve played against this season, I will say it will be Accra Great Olympics at Bechem. It was a very tough match. Although we dominated but it was very tough. Our boys played above themselves to contain them. They came with a strategy not to lose. When they were superb the strategy was working for them until we scored them.”
“Olympics are the toughest opponent I’ve played with this season.” He stated.
Bechem United after week 28 of the GPL are sitting at the 2nd place with 47 points behind Asante Kotoko.
