In-form Bechem United FC beat the ‘Fire Boys’ Aduana Stars in the MTN FA Cup semi-final clash in Berekum.
The Hunters chased out the ‘Fire Boys’ as they handed them a 2-0 loss to reach the finals of the competition.
Emmanuel Avornyo opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a beautiful carpet strike to give Bechem United a 1-0.
Nine minutes after Avornyo’s opener, experienced forward Augustine Okrah scored the second goal to give the the Hunters a healthy 2-0 lead before half time with a super free-kick.
The former MTN FA Cup winners who are 9 points behind leaders Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC on the league log with 47 points from 28 games will face the FA Cup defending champions, Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the finals of the FA Cup to battle for the ultimate.
Hearts of Oak also defeated Dreams FC by 3 goals to 2 to secure the final place on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium courtesy Benjamin York, Suraj Seidu and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
