Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak have cleared off the rumor of bringing in an attacker, Kaaba Junior from Cameroon.
It was reported a few days ago that the Rainbows are in advance negotiations to sign the highly-rated Cameroonian forward for the upcoming season.
Kwame Opare Addo who is the team’s spokesperson has butchered the rumor indicating that they haven’t approached Kaaba and his representatives for the service of the prolific striker.
The 23-year-old has so far scored 7 goals and most impressively, he has provided five assists for his club Fauve Azure. He is the second-highest scorer in the Cameroonian top division this season.
Other sources have claimed that Kaaba is also a target for Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman.
Kaaba has been called by Cameroon head coach Rigobert Song, following his great start to the season, as he makes the list of 25 local players to camp from May 23 to 27.
“We don’t have any signing for now and we haven’t signed any player. At the right time, we will make signings and wherever we will get the good players we will go.” Opare Addo told Agorohene Nana Yaw Opoku on Original Tv’s Sports Punch.
Should the 23-year-old striker join the GPL side, he would be competing in the Ghana Premier League alongside his compatriots Georges Mfegue Omgba and Franck Mbella Etouga.
