Premier League giants ASANTE Kotoko have written to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to express displeasure about the GFA’s decision to postpone their league match against their regional rivals, Ashanti Gold SC.
Asante Kotoko were scheduled to play against Ashanti Gold in the premier League match day 29 fixture at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on Thursday, May 19, 2022, but the GFA has announced that it has postponed the match indefinitely, citing “intelligence reports from the Ghana Police Service”.
Asante Kotoko are the current leaders of the league log, and they are not comfortable with the decision of the FA as they believe it will do more harm than good, considering the stage the competition has reached.
“This morning we have officially written to the Ghana Football Association to register our displeasure in the way and manner the match between Ashanti Gold and ASANTE Kotoko was postponed”, Asante Kotoko stated in a club statement on Thursday.
Asante Kotoko have demanded of the GFA to postpone all league matches until the outstanding match between Ashanti Gold and Asante Kotoko is played.
