The MTN FA Cup Committee has announced the prize package for the winner of the 2021/22 competition.
The winner of the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup will earn GHC 100,000 as prize money at the end of the final.
This was announced by the Vice President of the FA Cup committee, Kofi Poku on Thursday, May 9th, 2022 during an interview with Agorohene Nana Yaw Opoku on Accra-based Original Tv’s Sports Punch Show.
The finals of the MTN FA Cup 2021/22 will see the defending champions Hearts of Oak battling Bechem United at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on June 26th for the ultimate.
In the 2020/21 season, Hearts of Oak received GHC80,000 as their reward for winning the competition after beating Ashantigold SC in Accra whiles the runner-up received GHC30,000.
Hearts of Oak won the MTN FA Cup for a record eleventh time after edging out the Miners 8-7 on penalty shootout last season.
The Winner of the MTN FA Cup will represent Ghana in next season’s Total Energies CAF Confederation Cup.
