The Ghana Premier League match week 30 between Eleven Wonders and Accra Hearts of Oak has been postponed due to outbreak of a communicable disease among some players of Accra Hearts of Oak.
About 19 players suffered infection from an outbreak of a disease in the camp, including some club officials. Tests results on the affected players revealed that the disease is transferable, and needs to be fully treated to prevent spread.
Hearts of Oak game against Eleven Wonders called off because the team infected with influenza HI which is fast spreading as dreams have gotten it.
Subsequently, the league match has now been postponed to an unknown date for safety reasons.
“Our match against Eleven Wonders has been postponed following advice from the Ghana Health Service”, Hearts of oak has confirmed in a Facebook post.
“According to the GHS they are still investigating the cause of the illness that affected the Hearts of Oak team”, the post added.
