Hearts of Oak newly signed attacker, Ouatching Yassan has earned an invitation to represent the Central African Republic national team in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers.
Despite being a Cameroonian-born footballer, the 23-year old striker has switched his nationality to play for the Les Fauves.
Central African Republic will open their 2023 AFCON qualifiers with Angola on June 1, 2022, before playing Ghana for four days and later taking on Madagascar in Group E.
Yassan has signed a three-year contract with the GPL giants and will be among Samuel Boadu’s side for next season’s campaign.
He has previously played for UMS de Loum and Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) in Cameroon before he left for Myanmar side Zwekaping United. After 16 months, he moved on to Bangladesh where he signed for Mohammedan SC which lasted just four months. He has been a free agent since August 2021.
