Inspirational Frank Etouga Mbella inked his name into the books of Asante Kotoko SC again with yet another sublime strike to earn the Porcupine Warriors a maximum three points in Tarkwa over Medeama Sporting Club on week 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Cameroonian attacker extended his goal scoring with yet another game changing strike after the opening goal from Andrews Appau.
Appau capped an impressive game with the first goal for the Reds on the 16th minute before Etouga doubled it to seal a 2-0 win at the Baba Yara stadium before the break.
The game which was tagged as a titanic clash of the week saw the travellers sealing the victory in the first half despite the red card for Mudasiru Salifu.
When it seemed Medeama were in control of the game, Kotoko had already took the comfortable lead to go nine points clear on the log.
Coach Ogum’s men extended their lead at the summit of the log with that win as they prepare for their next heavyweight clash against Great Olympics in Accra.
They sit on the top of the table with 59 points whiles Berekum Chelsea and Medeama SC are tied with 50 points at the second and the third position.
The last time Asante Kotoko won away at Tarkwa in the Ghana Premier League against Medeama SC was in 2014 but Coach Prosper Nerteh Ogum has led Asante Kotoko to beat Medeama 2-0 after 8-years.
