Asante Kotoko manager Prosper Narteh Ogum has hailed Andrews Appau and Etouga Mbella for scoring classic goals in a week 31 fixture.
The players nabbed three points for Kotoko Medeama on Sunday afternoon in Tarkwa.
Appau scored the opener for his side and Etouga added the second goal with a stunning finish before the halftime, taking them back to nine points clear on the Premier League table.
The Cameroonian international, Etouga has scored 20 goals, the best tally in his maiden season in the GPL.
Inevitably the ex-WAFA boss was asked about the brilliant finish by his boys and he hailed praises on them. He also tagged it as an international standard goals.
“I think both are classic goals and I like all of them. They are all international standard goals. If you look at Appau, coming from the back poles or the far poles to jump and so higher than all of them including Atinga, the tallest player, and scoring from the near post was fantastic. And Etouga rounding off the goalkeeper, I think is a photocopy of the goal he scored at WAFA. Is almost a photocopy of it so they are two classical goals and congratulations to them and congratulations to the players.” Coach Ogum stated in a post-match interview with StarTimes.
