Madagascar and PSG youngster, Mathyas Randriamamy has gallantly assured their fans that they will pick the maximum points against Ghana in tomorrow’s game.

Madagascar who is in search of second AFCON participation will open their AFCON 2023 qualifiers with the four-time African champions, Ghana at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

After shocking Nigeria and other countries to reach the quarter-finals of the 2019 edition, the team is yet to book a ticket for another edition, having failed to participate in Cameroon 2021.

The head coach of the ‘Barea’ men Nicolas Dupuis has already tipped his side and Ghana to go far but the PSG youngster is highly optimistic they will beat Ghana in the opener.

“It’s an honor to play against Ghana because is a good team in Africa. They play in the World Cup and we have to play well because they are waiting for us. They are so good but we are determined and we want to win. We are here to win.” He told Ghanasportspage.com.

Born in France to parents of Malagasy descent, Randriamamy started his youth career with Paris FC. He joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2016. On 16 August 2021, he signed his first professional contract with the club.

Randriamamy 19, received his first call-up in 2020 from Madagascar national team for 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches against Ivory Coast. He made his debut on 10 October 2021 in a 1–0 FIFA World Cup qualifier win against DR Congo.

Madagascar will take on Angola four days after the opener against Ghana.
