Fitness coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, W.O Paul Tandoh has provided an update on Salifu Ibrahim’s injury.

The 21-year-old suffered an ankle injury in Hearts’ 1-1 draw against Karela United in the Ghana Premier League on Monday and had to be stretchered off.

The report indicates that he is likely to be out for the rest of the season whiles Heart’s have five games left to end the campaign including the MTN FA Cup finals against Bechem United meanwhile, he is part of the 35 provisional man-squad for the Local Black Stars invited by Coach Annor Walker.

The sensational midfielder, who joined Hearts from Techiman Eleven Wonders, has had a difficult time with the GPL giants after a remarkable performance last season.

It is a double injury for the midfielder against the Anyinase-based side. He got injury whiles playing in their away fixture against the same opponent and he had to sit back to seek recovery.

Unfortunately, he again suffered an ankle injury with Karela in their 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

W.O Tandoh delivered an update on the player’s fitness via Ghanasportspage.com as he stated, “Salifu, no report of such his x-ray will be told today because he’s currently seeing the doctor this afternoon for a test.” he told Ghanasportspage.com.

Hearts of Oak are on the fourth position of the league table with 48 points, 11 points behind their noisy-rivals Asante Kotoko.
