European Champions Real Madrid have announced Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger as new Real Madrid player, having signed a four-year deal with the La Liga champions as a free agent.
In a similar situation as that of David Alaba who arrived at the club last year from Bayern Munich, Rudiger’s contract with the London club Chelsea will run out on June 30, and will from then become a Real Madrid player officially after five years great achievement at Chelsea.
The German centre back has been a target for both Real Madrid and its current coach, Carlo Ancelotti, and his arrival is an important news to the 14 times Champions league winners.
In his career spanning from Stuttgart, AS Roma to Chelsea, Rudiger has won a total of 6 major trophies, comprising one each of the Champions League, Club World Cup, Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and Confederations Cup.
