The senior national football men’s team, the Black Stars of Ghana have arrived in Osaka, Japan ahead of the 2022 Kirim (Four Nations Tournament) which will feature hosts Japana, Chile, Ghana and Tunisia.
The Stars arrived in Japan on Tuesday after jetting off from Luanda via Ethiopian Airlines. Upon arrival, the players, technical team staff and other GFA officials went through the mandated covid-19 tests as well as all other necessary protocols before moving to Kobe where they are based at the ANA Crown Plaza Hotel.
The notion for participating in the tournament is to help Ghana test the might of the team against Japan, a team form the Asian continent since Ghana will face South Korea in the Group H of the World Cup. South American side Chile and African giants Tunisia will also be good test for Ghana in the tournament.
The tournament has been scheduled to kick off from Friday, June 10 to Wednesday, June 14, 2022.
