Spain borns Ghanaian descents Inaki Williams and his brother Nico Williams have both arrived in Ghana for off season vacations, as rumors of their nationality switch from Spain to Ghana continue to spread.
The Athletic Bilbao attacking duo have been on the wish list of the Ghana Football Association for selection to the Black Stars, especially to strengthen the squad for the preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The two brothers arrived in the country on Tuesday and have been spending some quality time with their family and friends.
At age 27 and 19 respectively, Inaki Williams and his brother Nico Williams are visiting Ghana for the first time, having spent their whole life in Spain where they were born to Ghanaian immigrant parents.
It’s been reported that the duo would meet with the officials of the Black Stars and the FA during their stay in Ghana, as the GFA looks forward to completing discussions concerning their nationality switch from Spain to Ghana. Inaki Willimas has expressed reservations about representing Ghana at the national team level, but upon several talks, the duo look happy about the idea of playing for Ghana. It is left to be seen what happens between now and their time of stay in the country.
