Premier League safety seeking Eleven Wonders subjected Accra Hearts of Oak to a second successive defeat on Wednesday during the Ghana Premier League (GPL) rescheduled week 30 fixture in Techiman.
Accra Hearts threw the first punch in the 12th minute of the game when striker Kojo Obeng Jnr hit the back of the net to put the visitors in the lead.
It looked like a Hearts of Oak controlled game after they found the opener, but Wonders will not give up as they took the game to another level, forcing the defence of Hearts of Oak to concede a penalty at dying end of the first half. Tetteh Nortey stepped forward to convert the kick for the home side to bring the score to a 1-1 apiece before half time.
Hearts of Oak, who have already lost the title to their arch rivals Asante Kotoko, appeared to be uninspired against Eleven Wonders just as they showed in their last league match against King Faisal, where they lost by a lone goal.
The second half saw Eleven Wonders dictating the pace and tempo of the game, leaving the Hearts of Oak defence with lots of questions to answer.
Ismaïla Moro finally scored for Eleven Wonders to make the scoreline 2-1 for the home side. Hearts of Oak ran out of time and crushed out as losers on the day by 2-1 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park.
