Survival seeking side, Eleven Wonders stunned Accra Hearts of Oak to pick the maximum points with a 2-1 victory at home.
The host fought for the three point in Techimam with Sumaila Moro’s late strike after the 90th minute.
The relegation battling side were hoping to secure a good position on the league table with a win against the defending champions in this outstanding fixture.
Obeng Junior scored to put Hearts of Oak in front in the 12th minute with a perfect strike but Eleven Wonders kept pushing for the equalizer and they were able to level at the 45th minute through Mohammed Tettey Nortey.
Hearts of Oak couldn’t fight back from their last defeat to King Faisal upon all the chances they had.
They found themselves struggling in the final minutes and it was Eleven Wonders who performed through the recess.
The home side came close of taking the lead on the 74th minute but the glorious chance was wasted by Mwankurinah.
Wonders kept themselves in the game with a great performance in search of the points. They were denied by the post with a shot coming from George Osei in the final minutes.
At the latter part of the game Samuel Boadu’s side went down on the 90th minute with a late strike coming from Sumaila Ibrahim.
The win guides Eleven Wonders to climb with two points above the relegation zone whiles Hearts are still holding the fourth with 48 points.
