The FA president of Cameroon Samuel Eto’o was unhappy about the current form of the Indomitable Lions after their first game of the ongoing African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Cameroon was touted as one of the favorites to win the just-ended African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
But the hosts broke many Cameroonians’ hearts after finishing third, but they worked hard to brush off Algeria to book the ticket for the upcoming World Cup during the play-offs in March.
However, after the team’s opener in the AFCON 2023 qualifiers against Burundi, the FECAFOOT boss Eto’o angrily charged the team to improve their performance, or else a new team will be formed for the World Cup.
The five-time African champions picked a win in their away fixture against ‘The Swallows’ with Karl Toko Ekambi’s only goal.
