American-based Ghanaian goalkeeper Felix Annan has reiterated his readiness to honor a national team call-up again.
Is the dream of the ex-Porcupine star to join the Black Stars goalkeeping department after his move to the United States of America.
Felix Annan earned his maiden a call-up to the Black Stars in during the 2018/19 season for an AFCON qualifier.
The then 23-year-old shot-stopper’s name appeared in a 23-man squad named by former head coach Kwesi Appaih following his impressive performance for the Porcupine Warriors in the local league.
The phenomenal goalkeeper was once a brightest player in the Kotoko set-up during his days in the Ghana.
Annan, who parted ways with the Porcupine Warriors before the start of the 2021/22 Ghana premier League campaign currently plies his trade with American side Maryland Bobcats FC and still optimistic of throwing a challenge to the current Black Stars goalkeepers.
The 27-year-old goalie reiterated his readiness for the national team via Original Tv’s Sports Punch Show with Agorohene Nana Yaw Opoku.
“I’ve been in the national team before and for sure am still playing an active football. Is just a couple of two years I’ve not been in the team. With the circumstances is past and gone which there is no need to talk about it. For me is all about enjoying my life, enjoying my football, training hard and I appreciate whatever am doing.
“For me am still a Ghanaian I’ve not changed my nationality so I keep on doing my best, training hard. Any time they call up on me again for sure am always ready to honor the call-up and then I come and serve my country with all the passion and all the love I have.”
Quizzed on Ati-Zigi’s performance, after conceding four goals in Ghana’s friendly game against Japan on Friday afternoon, Annan claimed, “As a goalkeeper you just always have to do your best. For me I always say is all about the opportunity. Am not going to compare my self to anybody but for me I always believe in my self and I always know that for my self I am the best. Everybody will have his or her opinion but I will not compare my self to my colleagues that am better than them. I know Ati-Zigi and he is a good goalkeeper he believes in himself the same way Felix Annan, I believe in my self so I will not compare my self to anybody. He is a great goalkeeper. Is very unfortunate, you know sometimes I feel for him because Ati-Zigi is a top guy,” Annan stated.
