The Baba Yara Sports Stadium is expected to host thousands of supporters as the GPL winners, Kumasi Asante Kotoko square-off against relegated Elmina Sharks in a coronation game of the Ghana Premier League on week 33.
The Porcupine Warriors, have already established themselves as the top side and the champions of the Premier League with two games to wrap up the season.
The glorious occasion will see the Reds receiving their medals and the league title from the Ghana Football Association after the coronation game which is scheduled for exactly 6:00pm.
Meanwhile, the football governing bodies has directed the other matches to kick off simultaneously at 3pm on Sunday.
The team will go into the game with a 20-man squad as released by the lecturer and the top tactician, Prosper Narteh Ogum.
As planned, the event will also welcome top Ghanaian musicians including Angela hit-maker, Kuami Eugene ‘The Rock Star’ to storm the venue.
Sadly, the team’s captain Abdul Ismail Ganiu has been sidelined from the match-squad considering his match fitness but as usual, the two goalkeepers Danlad Ibrahim and Kwame Baah will play their normal role.
Highly rated GPL defender, Imoro Ibrahim alongside, Christopher Nettey, Maxwell Agyemang who scored the GPL winning goal against Ashantigold and others are on the line for the game. The midfield department is also occupied by Fabio Gama, Richard Boadu Agadas, Richmond Lamptey and Emmanuel Keyekeh.
However, the sharp striker and the top scorer, Frank Etouga Mbella who is being chased by Ashantigold forward Yaw Annor and his compatriot Georges Mfegue are among the attackers for the festive occasion tomorrow.
