Ghana is going head to head with Chile in the third and fourth place of the Kirin Cup on Tuesday, 14 Jun 2022 at 06:15am.
The game will be held at the Panasonic Stadium Suita in Osaka, Japan.
Ghana started the four nations mini tournament with a disappointing 4-1 defeat to the host Japan on Friday, 10th June.
The Kirin Tournament will however, help the teams to fill some holes before the FIFA World Cup.
Chile had a disastrous start after losing 2-0 to North African giants, Tunisia but the South American side are hoping to bag negative results against the Black Stars on Tuesday morning.
Ghana have managed to pick only one win out of their previous eight games. They secured the ticket for the World Cup through an away goal rule after a 1-1 draw with Nigeria.
Chile are coming into the game with an unimpressive record. They have just one win, five defeats out of their six games played this year.
The last time two teams met ended 1-1 and it was a friendly game in 2012.
Ahead of the game, we can confirm that the two side have no injury cases at the camp for this particular encounter on Tuesday.
TEAM NEWS
Ghana
All players are available for selection, according to team management. Jordan Ayew, who scored a goal against Japan, will likely to start against Chile as well. His brother Andre will likely keep his place. Coach Otto Addo will need more firepower on the go up-field to make a resounding statement against Chile.
Chile
Jeyson Rojas will likely start from the bench following his many mistakes against Tunisia, which culminated in a yellow card. Captain Gary Medel was pulled off during the game against Tunisia. It is unclear whether it was a technical substitution or due to fatigue. He might not start against the Black Stars due to the importance of the meeting.
