Experienced football manager, Henry Willington has shared a secret about his coaching career, claiming among all the teams he has managed, Kumasi Asante Kotoko is the place he enjoyed most.
The Samartex boss disclosed his days with Hearts of Oak was great but he enjoyed most with Asante Kotoko via the support from the leaders with the likes of K.K Sarpong.
The 57-year-old spent his days with Asante Kotoko as an assistant manager between 2012 and 2013 before he joined Dreams FC as their head coach.
He was sacked at Hearts of Oak in 2018 following a defeat to Inter Allies in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking about his coaching career in an interview with Original FM, the Samartex coach disclosed that he enjoyed as a football manager during his time with the current GPL champions.
“All the teams I have managed are good teams but I enjoyed most in Kotoko. The leaders like K.K Sarpong and others made it easy. The players at that time understands the job and themselves.
“Kotoko was so sweet at that time though Hearts made me happy but I enjoyed with Kotoko,” says Coach Willington.
The veteran manager has guided Samartex to secure a promotion into the Ghana Premier League from Zone 2 of the Division One League.
